Both
Heather Connors and Cindy Campbell have discovered a profound
desire to be entrepreneurial and to impassion others about the
importance of personal connections and community involvement.
In October of 2007, Heather and Cindy were contributing authors
of the book, Awakening Social Responsibility: A Call to Action.
They are continuing to work with the other authors on this exciting
project by creating a consulting platform on CSR. Recently, Heather
and Cindy were interviewed for the M7 Marketing Matters and Chickonomics
Podcast shows where they discussed how to implement a CSR program
and shared examples of established programs at different companies.
Heather Connors
Heather Connors attended Boston University and got her degree in Exercise Physiology
with a concentration in Cardiopulmonary Sciences. During her time at BU she
worked as an HR Representative and Researcher in the Diabetes and Metabolism
Department of BU Medical School. For the next eight years her research career
resulted in several publications in major scientific journals while working
in a variety of scientific disciplines for companies including TKT, Calydon
and Stem Cells, Inc. She made the transition back to Human Resources in early
2002 bringing a unique perspective to emerging medical device and biotechnology
companies like Micrus Endovascular and AngioScore, Inc. Currently Heather is
the Director of Human Resources for Illumina, a San Diego based, global biotechnology
company innovating the DNA sequencing business. She is currently on the Curriculum
Development Advisory Board at Mission College responsible for creating a matriculation
educational program that will produce a highly skilled workforce for the bio/pharma
industry.
Cindy Campbell
Cindy Campbell
is currently a Principal Organizational Development Consultant
for C2 Leadership focusing on leadership and team development
programs. She has a Bachelors of Science from Arizona State University
and worked for Intel Corporation for 18 years. At Intel, Cindy
held various management positions in Corporate Purchasing, Training & Development,
and she led the International Workforce Development efforts where
she was responsible for building educational programs through
collaboration with the Ministry of Education Departments in 7
separate countries.
In the past 7 years, Cindy has been in leadership
positions in Human Resources focusing on change & transition
management and leadership development. She has been on the Board
of Directors for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the NOVA Private Industry
Council and led the Corporate Sponsorship Committee at Workforce
Silicon Valley. |
